GeeReader. Blackberry Playbook. Free. The best use of tablets, in my opinion, is reading the news and my favorite RSS reader is Google Reader. So why wouldn’t I love GeeReader for Blackberry’s new Playbook tablet? GeeReader is touch-optimized, syncing directly with Google Reader to retrieve your RSS feed subscriptions. After you log in with your Google account, you can star, like, and share feed items, mark all items in a feed as read, sort feed items by “Newest First” or “Oldest First”, and view the article detail in a maximized window by tapping on the article detail panel title bar. Not a lot of frills, bells and whistles and that is precisely what makes this no-nonsense app so appealing.
